Nightmare Freddy

The new and improved digitally printed torso for our Nightmare Freddy figure
available for purchase here

And the original Freddy first created way back in November 2010:
Laser engraving ABS plastic has severe limitations.
If you use to much power you melt the plastic and get a "ridge" around the edge of the engraving.
If you don't use enough power it's not deep enough to color fill
The wider the graphic the harder it is to color fill
etc., etc., etc .

Back in 2010 a laser engraver was the only machine available to me so I worked with what I had. Although I wish I could have started pad and digitally printed years ago I don't regret the engraving years!

Batman

Original quick sketch for this build

2nd sketch used for building reference. Final build is pretty much 1:1 scale with this reference. Some proportions were changed, mainly the nose cover

Mickey Mouse

This build started out as a quick pencil sketch on notebook paper. This drawing was used as a sizing guide when building the Mickey Head MOC. The sketch worked surprisingly well and eliminated any guess work.

Woohoo! This build won 3rd prize in the Pimp My Nerdly contest.

Everyone who entered did an amazing job so lets to a round of applause to everyone who entered!

Forget about transforming into a vehicle to hide from nosey nellies! Slap on a pair of Nerdly glasses and you will never be recognized, even by the evil Megatron.

Hey, it works for Superman/Clark Kent, why not Optimus Prime?

It's that time of year again!

The fifth annual Creations for Charity is now accepting donations of Lego creations from anyone wanting to help raise money to buy Lego for underprivileged children.

From now until November 15th, anyone can donate a Lego creation for sale in the fundraiser. All you have to do is fill out a form and be prepared to ship the creation directly to the buyer.

For the budget builders, you can still choose to be reimbursed for the cost of making your creation, and as usual there are unique gifts to reward your help.

One of these unique gifts is this Marine Magnet designed by customBRICKS and made possible with generous donations from BrickForge and Print-A-Brick.
