It's that time of year again!
The fifth annual Creations for Charity is now accepting donations of Lego creations from anyone wanting to help raise money to buy Lego for underprivileged children.
From now until November 15th, anyone can donate a Lego creation for sale in the fundraiser. All you have to do is fill out a form and be prepared to ship the creation directly to the buyer.
For the budget builders, you can still choose to be reimbursed for the cost of making your creation, and as usual there are unique gifts to reward your help.
One of these unique gifts is this Marine Magnet designed by customBRICKS and made possible with generous donations from BrickForge and Print-A-Brick.

128k
I'm not sure how to classify the size of this build.
This is a mico build of Chris McVeighs hello but it is also minifigure scale.
Since this was initially built with the intent of being a smaller version of hello and the minifigure scale came after the fact I am going to personally classify this as a micro build.

Downhill racer
Zoom, Zoom!
Last year we went to a soap box derby race and it was a lot of fun. The amount of money that some people spent on these racers and paint jobs was surprising but every kid there looked like they really loved the sport.

House Fire
At 2:30 am, Thursday August 22nd, I received a text I hope to never receive again.
My best friends house burned to the ground and they lost EVERYTHING, including their cars which were still in the garage.
My friend and her family are ok and the small local community have been really great in helping them and donating essentials like food, clothes and car seats for the kids. Neighbors have let them borrow vehicles and they are staying in a house down the street (this is a farming community so down the street means several miles) so they can continue to take care of their farm animals.
I have gotten together with a few people and we are collecting toys to give to the kids. I have given them some minifigures from my collection and let them borrow my tub of Legos I had while growing up.
If anyone would like to donate any minifigures, sets or just random bricks (old or new, it does not matter) it would be much appreciated.
Any donations can be sent to:

There are 4 children and their ages are 3,5,7 and 9. The 2 boys (3 & 5) love cars, firetrucks, boats and minifigures. The 2 girls (7 & 9) like the friends collections and prefer to build houses and things. As they live on a farm the girls also has a small collection of the Lego farm animals (goats, chickens, horses, etc)
