At 2:30 am, Thursday August 22nd, I received a text I hope to never receive again.

My best friends house burned to the ground and they lost EVERYTHING, including their cars which were still in the garage.

My friend and her family are ok and the small local community have been really great in helping them and donating essentials like food, clothes and car seats for the kids. Neighbors have let them borrow vehicles and they are staying in a house down the street (this is a farming community so down the street means several miles) so they can continue to take care of their farm animals.

I have gotten together with a few people and we are collecting toys to give to the kids. I have given them some minifigures from my collection and let them borrow my tub of Legos I had while growing up.

If anyone would like to donate any minifigures, sets or just random bricks (old or new, it does not matter) it would be much appreciated.

There are 4 children and their ages are 3,5,7 and 9. The 2 boys (3 & 5) love cars, firetrucks, boats and minifigures. The 2 girls (7 & 9) like the friends collections and prefer to build houses and things. As they live on a farm the girls also has a small collection of the Lego farm animals (goats, chickens, horses, etc)

This one has been sitting around for a while.

Helmet was hand sculpted and I finally got around to making the mold for it this week. Final helmet is resin cast and hand painted.

Enterprise

I've dabbled with trying to make an Enterprise, and made a Micro version, but I just don't have the parts in stock to make a bigger version happen.

C3Brix has made an amazing version which highlight and faithfully recreates all the key features of the Enterprise.

It's always amazing to me that a round dish can be made out of flat, rectangular bricks.

Well done!
